Post-Tenant Move-Out Expectations

As your property management team, we want to provide clarity on what to expect during the transition after the tenant moves out. Here’s a breakdown of responsibilities:

Tenant Responsibilities:

  1. Carpet Cleaning: Tenants will be responsible for any necessary carpet cleaning to address wear beyond normal use.
  2. General Cleaning: The tenant is expected to leave the property in a clean and tidy condition.
  3. Damage Caused by Tenant: Any damages beyond normal wear and tear, caused by the tenant, will be their responsibility.

Landlord Responsibilities:

  1. Normal Wear and Tear: The landlord is responsible for addressing issues related to normal wear and tear, such as faded paint, minor scuffs, and worn carpet in high-traffic areas.
  2. Minimum Holdback: To facilitate a smooth turnover, the management company will hold back a minimum of $500 from this month’s rent.  This amount will be used for necessary repairs, or maintenance to prepare the property for the next tenant.

This proactive approach ensures that the property is maintained in good condition while providing transparency for both landlords and tenants. If you have any specific preferences or concerns regarding this process, please feel free to reach out.

We appreciate your continued trust in our property management services. Should you have any questions or require further clarification, do not hesitate to contact us.
